Prabowo Renovasi Graha Utama Akmil, Diresmikan Jokowi

Magelang – Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto accompanied President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in inaugurating the main building of the Military Academy (Akmil) in Magelang Regency, Central Java, on Monday (29/1).
Prabowo arrived at the location at 9:25 AM and was welcomed by the Governor of Akmil Major General R. Sidharta Wisnu Graha to review the preparations and provide directions before the main event.
Then, at exactly 11:00 AM, Jokowi arrived at Akmil after previously visiting the Blabak Market, Magelang Regency, to monitor the prices of nine basic commodities. Jokowi, who appeared wearing a black batik with gold patterns, was welcomed by Prabowo, who wore a white long-sleeved shirt with a black peci.
Also seen were TNI Commander Agus Subiyanto, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Army Chief of Staff General Maruli Simanjuntak, Navy Chief of Staff Admiral Muhammad Ali, and Air Force Chief of Staff Marshal Fadjar Prasetyo who welcomed Jokowi’s arrival at Akmil.
Then, Prabowo along with Jokowi, the commander, the chief of police, and the chiefs of staff of the military and retired generals went directly to the main hall to tour the building before the inauguration began.
After finishing the building tour, Jokowi delivered a speech in front of the Akmil cadets. He said that the construction of the main building would support the facilities for the cadets’ learning activities better.
“The construction of the main building, covering an area of ​​8,068 square meters, will encourage the cadets to study even better, because the educational facilities at Akmil will become more complete, sophisticated, and modern,” said Jokowi.
“This main building can be used as a center for academic activities and military events,” he added.
Meanwhile, Prabowo stated that the main building is part of the efforts to realize the grand vision of developing and improving the educational facilities at military educational institutions.
“It is hoped that this building will have a central role in shaping the character, mentality, and intellect of future TNI leaders and national leaders,” said Prabowo.
He also hopes that the construction of new facilities can improve the quality and standards of the cadet’s education. “And can also increase the competitiveness of young soldiers on the international stage,” Prabowo continued.
The main building of Akmil Magelang covers an area of 8,306 square meters with the first floor measuring 3,328 square meters, the second floor measuring 2,617 square meters, and the third floor measuring 2,617 square meters.
