Current Formula 1 championship leader Kimi Antonelli took advantage of the Easter break by visiting Valentino Rossi’s VR46 Motor Ranch in Tavullia, Italy. Antonelli, who has been performing exceptionally well in the 2026 season with wins at the Chinese and Japanese Grands Prix, is establishing himself as a strong title contender. With the F1 calendar on a five-week break due to the cancellation of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix, Antonelli decided to spend his break indulging in an adrenaline-filled weekend at Rossi’s ranch.
During the Easter weekend, Antonelli shared glimpses of his time at the renowned dirt-track ranch on social media, where he was joined by current MotoGP rider Marco Bezzecchi and members of the VR46 Academy. While others hit the track, Antonelli seemed content to watch from the sidelines as they raced through the dirt.
As the current leader in the drivers’ standings with 72 points, Antonelli holds a nine-point lead over his Mercedes teammate George Russell, who sits in second place with 63 points. Following the Japanese Grand Prix, Antonelli expressed his satisfaction with his performance, acknowledging that it is still early in the season to think about the championship but indicating that he is on the right track. Meanwhile, Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton trail behind in third and fourth place, respectively.
Looking ahead, the Miami Grand Prix is scheduled to take place from 1-3 May at the Miami International Autodrome, offering another exciting opportunity for Antonelli to showcase his driving prowess.
