Mercedes Formula 1 team recently poked fun at the mix-up during the Chinese Grand Prix when Kimi Antonelli was mistakenly introduced as Kimi Raikkonen, the 2007 champion. The incident left Antonelli visibly surprised and puzzled as he accepted his first grand prix win at the Chinese Grand Prix. Footage of the podium ceremony later revealed Antonelli laughing at the mistake. As the 19-year-old driver arrived at Suzuka for the Japanese Grand Prix, the Mercedes social media team playfully teased the blunder. Antonelli was handed a photo of Raikkonen and jokingly referred to the famous “bwoah” catchphrase. He recounted his reaction to the incorrect podium announcement, expressing disbelief but adding that he found it fun and amusing. Antonelli, who became the second-youngest grand prix winner at the Shanghai International Circuit, attributed his success to his team and expressed his gratitude for helping him achieve his dream. Looking ahead, all eyes are now on the upcoming Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka.
