Prabowo Honors Late Kwik Kian Gie for His Wisdom

President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, visited Sentosa Funeral Home at RSPAD Gatot Subroto, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (July 30) to pay his final respects to the late Kwik Kian Gie, a prominent economist and national statesman. Upon arrival, he was warmly welcomed by Kwik Kian Gie’s relatives and family before paying tribute to the deceased. Kwik, known for advocating Pancasila-based economics, passed away at the age of 90 on Monday evening. President Prabowo expressed his deep condolences, highlighting Kwik’s significant contributions to the nation’s development and his dedication to defending the Pancasila economy. He also shared how Kwik had been a friend and mentor, offering valuable advice and insights over the years. Even in his final days, Kwik remained actively engaged, exchanging messages and recommendations with the President. Prabowo reflected on their close bond and the wisdom that Kwik shared, emphasizing Indonesia’s loss of one of its finest sons.
