Diskualifikasi Hulkenberg di GP Bahrain: Sauber Bongkar Sebabnya

Nico Hulkenberg finish in 13th place after a tough night of racing to fight for points but was disqualified due to skid plate erosion of up to 8.4 mm, below the minimum thickness of 9 mm. This is the second time this season that a car has been disqualified for this reason. Previously, at the F1 GP in China, Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton was also found to have excessive wear. Sauber’s veteran driver, Beat Zehnder, mentioned that the skid was measured lower than 9 mm, which was unexpected as they had measurements from practice sessions. The team admitted it was their mistake and emphasized the importance of meeting regulations to avoid losing points. The incident with Hulkenberg’s car was attributed to the use of a different setup with lower downforce compared to his teammate. Sauber has struggled to score points since the unpredictable weather race in Australia, with their performance window narrowing in the hot conditions of Bahrain. Zehnder highlighted the need for significant improvements to qualify better and gain positions in races. He also praised Hulkenberg’s driving skills and acknowledged the challenges of dirty air affecting car performance on the track. Ultimately, Sauber’s goal is to rapidly improve their performance to secure better positions in future races.
