Jakarta – Plaza Senayan Jakarta witnessed when Presidential Candidate number 2, Prabowo Subianto, attended a meeting of Erick Thohir Alumni of the United States (ETAS) volunteers on Monday (22/1). In that moment, Prabowo expressed his honor in being invited by Garibaldi Thohir, also known as Boy Thohir, in the midst of alumni entrepreneurs from the 80s and 90s.
Prabowo, who was accompanied by several figures such as Maruarar Sirait, Garibaldi Thohir, and State-Owned Enterprises Minister Erick Thohir, expressed his joy and emotion seeing strong support from the ETAS volunteers. The volunteers, around 120 people, have been fighting alongside Erick Thohir since the National Campaign Team (TKN) in 2019 and declared full support for Presidential Candidate number 02 Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024 elections.
“This is a great honor. I understand now why I lost twice (in the 2014 and 2019 elections) because back then I wasn’t invited here (with the alumni from the US),” said Prabowo with a smile, referring to the warm welcome from the ETAS volunteers.
The majority of the ETAS volunteers, who were wearing light blue shirts as a form of support, have been fighting alongside Erick Thohir since TKN 2019. In their statement of support, they declared that Prabowo-Gibran is the best choice to lead Indonesia for the next five years.
“Not only from Indonesia, the ETAS volunteers also came from various cities in the United States, from Boston to Los Angeles, from Washington to California, from Indiana to Florida. We are here to support you,” said Bernandino Moningka Vega, one of the alumni present.
In the event, Prabowo expressed his appreciation for the great trust and support from the ETAS volunteers.
“I am very grateful for the immense trust placed on my shoulders,” he said sincerely.
The full support from these US alumni gives additional strength to Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 Presidential race. Prabowo reaffirmed his commitment to build a better Indonesia and called on all parties to unite for the common goal. (SENOPATI)
